Sometimes recovery requires distance
Sometimes you need more than outpatient guidance. Sometimes recovery requires physical distance from your daily environment so that you can breathe, feel and understand again. A residential shot offers that safe space.
At Affect2U, you stay in a warm, homely setting where you don't have to do anything - except focus on yourself. No judgment, no pressure. However, clarity, intensive guidance and a team that thinks along with you.
A recording starts with 28 days and can be extended on advice or at your request. In many cases, an overall process of eight weeks is the most helpful, followed by aftercare. Because real change takes time.

Before we start a treatment process, whether it involves outpatient care or an admission, we always plan a intake interview. During this conversation, we listen carefully to your story and agree on the best approach together.
After this intake interview, your treatment process can start immediately, so that you can quickly get the support you need.
Our residential programs
We offer three residential routes. Each program has a different focus, but the same basis: safety, personal growth and lasting change.
Treatment for addiction
For those who want to stop using drugs or behavior.
At Harbour House, you'll stay in a warm, family environment with a maximum of 14 residents. You'll get to know the core of recovery: understanding how your addiction works and why quitting didn't work, even with the best intentions.
You will learn how you can regain control over your behavior, emotions and future without medication. Our team of therapists and experts will guide you step by step.
You have to do it yourself, but you don't have to do it alone.
That is why we also take great care of family and partner through individual conversations and family sessions.
After 28 days, the clinical team will work with you to see what the next step is:
physical withdrawal (detox, if necessary)
insight into addiction and the impact on the body, brain and relationships
emotion regulation: learning to feel back without surviving
healthy communication and setting boundaries
relapse prevention: a concrete plan for your life after admission
connection with fellows: people who understand what you're going through
outpatient aftercare
secondary care
an extension of your recording
Treatment for trauma
For those who are ready to work more deeply on underlying problems, with or without addiction.
Many people use it to numb feelings that are too painful to bear. Underneath every addiction story, there is almost always something bigger: trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, or a combination of them.
In The Journey Inwards, you go beyond quitting. You will investigate the origin of your pain so that recovery can be sustainable.
Admission is based on a clinical intake.
individual and group therapy in a relaxing, wooded environment
working on underlying traumas and patterns
learn how to deal with emotions without running
discover your options in a safe and discreet atmosphere
small groups (max. 15) for maximum continuity and personal attention
guidance for family and partner through individual and group sessions
everyone who completed the Harbour House program
anyone who is already clean and wants to work on underlying problems
anyone with trauma, burnout, depression or other complaints

An intensive residential program in an inspiring environment.
Our carefully selected partner clinic in South Africa offers intensive residential programs in a peaceful, natural environment. During your stay, we will continue to guide family and/or partner from a distance, so that they are also supported.
After returning, we will look together at which aftercare suits you best. We often recommend The Journey Inwards, but that is not an obligation.
A residential recording
A residential recording requires time, courage and also a financial investment. There is no reimbursement via the health insurance. We are transparent about this because we believe that honest communication is part of good care.
What do you get in return?
Rest. Insight. Counseling.
And above all: a new beginning that goes beyond just quitting.
Take the first step
During an informal conversation, we listen to your story and see which program suits you best. It doesn't matter how long you've been struggling; all change starts with one conversation.
An admission may be appropriate when outpatient guidance does not provide sufficient support, when quitting remains difficult or when a distance from the daily environment is necessary to really work on recovery. During an intake interview, we will look together at which approach best suits your situation.
During a residential stay, the focus is mainly on recovery and therapy. That is why clients temporarily distance themselves from work and daily obligations. However, family contact and family counseling remain an important part of the treatment process.
During an admission, you will follow a structured therapeutic program including individual therapy, group sessions and guidance on emotion regulation and relapse prevention. If necessary, detox can be part of the process. In addition, attention is also paid to family counseling and drawing up a plan for after the admission.
An admission to Affect2U usually starts with a period of 28 days. In many cases, the program is extended to approximately eight weeks, so that there is sufficient time to achieve both stability and deeper change.
A residential stay means that you are temporarily staying in a treatment center where you receive intensive guidance. You distance yourself from your daily environment so that you can fully focus on recovery, therapy and personal development.
